Petaluma Auto Works Has Moved!
We have moved to a new location, 1308 Dynamic Street, Suite 1. The cross street is North McDowell, near DMV. The building we have enjoyed for the past years will be torn down due to eminent domain, to allow for new development like most of downtown Petaluma is experiencing.

Our shop is dedicated to the preservation of the Z-Car Culture. Datsun 240, 260, 280Z and Nissan 300 & 350ZX owners from around the world share stories, pictures, historical information, technical tips, how to buy, trade, sell and or restore your Z. Our purpose and mission is improving on how to maintain these beautiful efficient driving machines on the road. Z cars are our passion!


Z Car Enthusiasts
During our quest to maintain Z cars on the road we have encountered numerous and diverse people and situations, a Z-car fan base from Argentina, England, Zealand, Japan as well as nationwide. We have met whole families that drive Z cars, from grandmother to the teenage daughter and customers that commute to work in their Z's to show and race car circuit participants. This diversity tells us that the interest and appreciation for the Z car has yet to reach it's height of popularity. Encouranging us to keep looking for new and better ways to help our customer and friends keep their cars in top condition for their full enjoyment. One example of Z performance and reliability is our customer, Phil Darley, who logged over 200,000 miles on the original motor of his 280Z while commuting from Petaluma to San Francisco. Jack McKinder has logged 630,000 miles on his '83 280ZX. These are two of many happy customers that allow us to do what we love to do, work on Z's. We are a business as well as a fans of the Z car, commited to it's preservation for future generations. Happy Driving!.

Since 1988 we have been the ultimate in Z-Car care in Sonoma, Marin and Contra Costa Counties. During the last 17 years we have been the one stop Z-Car care in sunny Petaluma. We sell and install parts, tune your carbs to perfection, service and maintain any stock Z-car as well as do high performance upgrades. We do complete restorations as well as modifications. We have hard to find parts for engine and body, as well as emblems and moldings.
